ZFoam operated with an EKON ERP system, exporting orders to Excel to plan their production.
The Operational Challenge
This manual Excel export process generated constant errors, duplications, and a total lack of real-time visibility into production.
The Solution Architecture
We developed a custom Manufacturing Execution System (MES) integrated directly with the ERP, automating the entire workflow from order import to historical performance analysis. The system automatically imports orders from EKON, distributes them across nine productive sections, assigns machines, calculates estimated times, and visualizes machinery occupancy in real-time. It also includes a historical comparative module with productive KPIs for management.
Business Impact
The custom MES completely eliminated their dependency on Excel, reduced human errors, provided complete visibility into order statuses, and enabled historical comparative analysis between theoretical and actual production times.
